Cityscape Qatar the largest international real estate development and investment event in the state of Qatar will be held under the patronage of His Excellency, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior for the State of Qatar.

FIM Motocross World Championship 2016 – 26th 27th February 2016

Losail International Circuit is all set for a vibrant, electrifying and dashing event which will no doubt capture the hearts of MX lovers! It is the only round that takes place in the Middle East and at night time.

For the 4^th consecutive year MXGP will kick off this weekend here in Qatar which will include MX2, WMX and MXGP under floodlights transforming the entire evening to a dazzling display of sparkling adventure!

A total of 70 riders will join the opening round of the eighteen series of the 2016 FIM Motocross World Championship at Losail.

By definition motocross is a closed circuit, off-road motorsport that takes place on a natural track consisting of man-made obstacles and jumps; the layout itself also makes use of the landscape for elevation changes, terrain and distinctive features.

A Grand Prix sees the riders of each class complete two 30 minute and 2 lap motos, with 25 points awarded to the winner and scaling down to one point for 20th place. The standings of both races are combined for an overall result.

Free practice and Qualifying race will be on Friday 26th from 15:00 until 21:00 and races will take place on Saturday 27th from 16:00 until 22:00.

Grand Stand is free for the general Public and VIP tickets costs QR1000 for both days and Two day Paddock tickets costs Q100.

Qatar International Rally 2016 - 4, 5, 6 February 2016

Rally Racing is one of the popular and enduring motorsports simply because it features real cars racing on closed off sections of unpaved and unrelenting roads. Rally events in different parts of the world can go on for many days and would cover hundreds of miles.

This weekend QMMF will be hosting the Qatar International Rally 2016.  Doha Corniche will witness the start of the Qatar International rally 2016 on Thursday afternoon.

Arabian Drag Racing League - Round 1 2015/2016

At ADRL the bikes and cars are battling for the title "King of Arabia" and this makes it even more captivating!

Children will get to enjoy some play time at designated play area with bouncy castles and slides. Food and drink will also be available! All in all great entertainment for the whole family! Keep the dates free and enjoy!

WTCC is Coming to Doha!

The World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) is coming to Doha thanks to  Mr. Nasser Khalifa Al-Attiya the President of Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) backed by the continuous support of H.H the Emir Shaykh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani.

An excellent collaboration with WTCC and no doubt Qatar and the racing enthusiast are very grateful to Mr. Attiya's for his long continuous dedicated tremendous support for Racing in Qatar. 

What is WTCC?

The World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) is an international racing championship organized by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). Inaugurated in 2005 this championship includes 12 races in 12 different countries and tracks. The drivers are awarded points depending on how they place. After the last race, the driver with the most points wins the championship.

According to the well known Brazilian driver Augusto Farfus  "It's a quite simple championship, because to race the car must have four doors, two-liter engine, we don't care about how many cylinders it has, if it has four, five, or six cylinder. And the factory must produce minimum 10,000 cars a year…road cars. It must sell 10,000 cars, and that is all. The race formats are two races, about 30 minutes each, it's normally 50 [kilometers]. "

And according to him WTCC is different from other car races because of this "I think one of the best things that we have in the race that we use is the same car that you have in your garage. And the public, everybody who supports our race…they go to the track to support the same car as [they have in the] garage. And sometimes we see a guy who [supports] Alfa Romeo because his neighbor has a BMW so he wants to see his Alfa Romeo win..."

According WTCC: "Citroën, Honda and LADA all field factory teams in the WTCC, while Chevrolet has endorsed a car built to the new-for-2014 technical regulations, which require the use of mass-production five-door cars fitted with 1.6-litre direct injection turbocharged engines and a number of aerodynamic aids. Several privateer drivers and teams also take part and contest a trophy supported by the WTCC’s official tyre partner, Yokohama.

Eurosport Events produces extensive television coverage of the WTCC with races broadcast live. The company also provides its expertise in co-ordinating the championship and managing all aspects of media rights distribution, promotions and relations, social media and commercial partnerships."

This extra ordinary race is much loved by fans all over the world which is in full swing from March to November. This year the Championship will end at the Lusail International Circuit, bringing in a new flavour, an exciting addition to its events calendar, And such events will also encourage the locals to engage in this type of racing and learn new techniques and skills to enhance their talents and match the international drivers competing with them in the future. 

Highlights - Qatar Open Kiteboarding Championship

Kiteboarding invites all kind of participants and it is an exciting sport to engage in even as a spectator. 

Qatar Kiteboarding Championship organized by Qatar Olympic Committee and hosted by Qatar Sailing & Water Sports Federation last weekend was a fantastic event.

The event saw many local and regional talents displaying some awesome action and style with remarkable patience and perseverance entertaining the spectators at the Fuwairit Beach.

At the Formal Racing event Omar Abdel Fattah from Egypt clinched the first position and Alaa Festok from Qatar took the second and Abdulaziz Abdulla Al Marzooki from UAE was third.

In the TwinTip Racing, the winner was Abdulaziz Abdulla Al Marzooki from UAE and the second and the third place went to Fahad Al Maliki from Qatar and Saeed Al Dharif from UAE respectively.

In the exciting freestyle event the podium was dominated by the UAE kiteboarders. Mohammed Obaid Al Mansoori, Saeed Al Dharif and Salem Rashed Al Suwaidi settled for the first, second and third places respectively.

Rabbit Gang Qatar the popular distributor for Kiteboarding gear in Qatar was the proud sponsor of the 1st place prizes for TwinTip Racing and Freestyle. A nice gesture indeed. Encouraging to see companies coming forward and getting involved in racing events such as this.

All in all it was a well organized event and we look forward to many such events in the future too.

Doha, Qatar: 10 May, 2015 – The fourth edition of Cityscape Qatar will be inaugurated today at 12pm by His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Economy and Commerce. Cityscape Qatar is taking place from May 11-13, 2015 at the Doha Exhibition Centre, Qatar and is held under the Patronage of His Excellency Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for the State of Qatar.

The day will start off with the VIP Opening Ceremony which will involve His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani cutting the ribbon, and will be followed by a tour of the exhibition, where he will have the opportunity to see the latest real estate developments in the State of Qatar and the wider region.

There will be a number of key projects on display during Cityscape including United Development Company (UDC) Qatar’s The Pearl Qatar, a unique mixed-use urban development in Doha which offers residents and visitors a complete lifestyle experience. This Saturday Lusail International Circuit will be shimmering with Bikes racing at the Superbike Championship for the final Round  under floodlights. This event is organized by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation.(QMMF) Entrance is free for all.

On Friday 8th, the track activity will start at 17:00 with the free practice 1, followed by the free practice 2 at 19:15. The Qualifying session is scheduled at 21:15 and the Super pole will be at 22:15. Races will be on Saturday, with the first race of the round at 19:35 and the second race at 22:20.

The Final Round is going to be thrilling as many of the riders will be battling for the final Championship and will try their best to end the season with a successful note. We wish them all the best.

The outcome will be some exciting functioning origami bag/clutch designs that you can own!

Students will learn the conceptualization and visualization of their item, as well as go through the process of making it. By the end of this course, students will not only learn how to create a bag/clutch design (pattern making, cutting & sewing the bag), but also capture the process involved in designing and creating, as well as visually marketing any product.
