A Single Sheet of Paper - Origami Addict!

No scissors! No Glue! No Cutting! With just one sheet of paper, a little bit of creativity and a great heap of passion these cute looking complex items are made with dedication by folding the papers!

Couple of years back a close friend taught Afsheen how to shape an Origami flower, since that day talented Afsheen who already loved crafting from her childhood could not fall asleep till she could explore this ancient Japanese paper folding art.

Afsheen is a self taught origamist with a lot of support from her parents and encouragement from her husband,. She loves to discover and leap into the vast horizon of creativity to come out with some unique dainty items.

She says: "All I need is a square sheet of thin paper, be it an old newspaper or scrapbooking paper or a comic book paper. I do not need a craft market"

Today she has her own crafty space which she calls "Origami Addict"! Doesn't the name tell us how addicted she is and the bond she has with Origami for its very true that someone said "Origami is a metamorphic art form, you got that piece of paper, you don't add to it you don't take away from it , you CHANGE it"
All details of Origami Addict can be found at www.rush360.qa by searching for "Origami". Origami lampshades, Candy Boxes, gift bags and boxes, pretend play items, flowers and many more items are available at Origami Addict in different sizes, shapes and colours. Browse through her Facebook page to see some of her elegant products!

The good news is she also loves to share this art with others. She conducts workshops for kids as small as three years up to even eighty year old adults! Usually her workshops are well received and the whole family enjoys the quality time and learning! Check out our Arts and Crafts Classes in Qatar page for her upcoming workshops at Katara Cultural Village. She is ready to hold workshops for anyone anytime! Isn't that wonderful? Take advantage of her while she is in Qatar!
Her advise to fellow crafters and those who are interested in crafting is: "Just focus on one art and craft type at a time and be unique". Afsheen is currently working on origami tessellation and she says she would love to exhibit it in a museum some day!

We thank Afsheen for all the information and wish her all success in her projects and future endeavours.
