VCUQatar is offering Oil Painting classes in Arabic. Participants must buy their own materials and bring along. Payment can be made online here or visit the VCUQatar shop in-person registration.

The classes cover all aspects of oil painting basics; from looking at and understanding a still life, preparing a background, placing the subject on the format, sketching it roughly, color mixing and application, tonal understanding and shading to create 3d Illusion, wet in wet painting technique and layered final touches.
Note: The class is taught in Arabic, however, English Speakers are welcomed too

- Introduction to oil color painting – show a collection of master pieces oil painting examples, showing how to begin painting , how to use the tools and materials.
- Will focus how to enable the student to develop drawing, painting skills and control the paint. How to choose objects and design an artistic composition to create balanced and beautiful painting, and Improving the observation of the color and objects, begin the first Still Life painting.
- View the shadows and highlights effects, how to put layers and underlying colors through Painting from still life using painting techniques for Still life drawing. How to choose color schemes, mixing and blending the oil colors, Continuing the still life Painting
- Starting the Second still life Painting
