The Sealine Cross Country Rally 2015 will kick off tomorrow in Doha. FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship is the premier championship of Rally raid racing, organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), since 1999 (from 1999 and 2002 as World Cup).
This event is hosted by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation in Qatar.
Two-time Dakar winner Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah (Mini All4 Racing), Joan Barreda Bort (Honda CRF 450) and Mohammed Abu Issa (Honda) were the winners last time in their respective car, motorcycle and quad categories. Al three are expected to return to defend their Sealine titles this time too!
The race will start on 20th April, K.M 194 as a preliminary stage, at Losail International Circuit,
The total length of Sealine race for this year will be K.M 1926.76 while the total length of the speed race will be K.M 1782.01(i.e 90% of the race will be competitive, in addition to the K.M 144.75 link stage, the rally will be completed on the 24th of April evening near Sealine.
