VCUQatar is offering Paper Magic classes. Participants must buy their own materials and bring along. Payment can be made online here or visit the VCUQatar shop for in-person registration.

Paper Art is an intriguing form of art created by cutting paper with a magical twist!

Paper is a very flexible and expressive medium for creative artworks. You will explore different, free, and geometrical shapes to create illusion paper art by way of cutting, painting, layering and folding papers. Triangles, polygons, curves and free forms develop their own colorful life on your individual art pieces.

  • Introduction to materials, tools and handling of art knife; get started cutting, explore different shapes and complete your first playful project
  • Explore different triangular designs and shapes, learn the concept of light & dark color illusion technique and start creating your second project
  • Complete your second project
  • Explore different linear and polygonal designs and develop a design for your third project
  • Complete your third project
  • Explore layering techniques with multiple shapes and develop a design for your forth project
  • Complete your forth project
  • Explore different curved designs and create your fifth project
